You will find that love is most definitely in the air whenever you visit Bournemouth Beach Lodges as evidenced this summer when guests Tom and Chloe got engaged on their private terrace, sipping champagne and watching the sun set in a glorious blaze of orange!
Each open plan Lodge with its mezzanine sleeping floor is perfect for two people and occasional guests, whether in the first throes of romance or celebrating thirty years of marriage. According to The Guardian “……. the Beach Lodges look like bijou New England clapboard houses. Inside they are paragons of ingenuity, squeezing all the facilities to sleep up to 4 adults and two kids into just 15 square metres but still managing to look chic and modern.”
There are plenty of opportunities for long romantic walks along the 15 miles glorious coastline and the sandy beaches that run right outside your Lodge – from Sandbanks to Southbourne or through the immaculately kept Grade II Listed Victorian Upper and Lower Gardens, where beautiful flowers and shrubs sit alongside ancient and rare plants and trees, ornate bridges and a Victorian folly.

Meanwhile for sporty and thrill seeking couples there is a multitude of activities to enjoy – from cycling, surfing, paddle boarding and a few miles down the coast in Poole, sailing and kite surfing. Hengistbury Head to the east offers a wonderful rugged landscape in which to enjoy a tasty picnic for two.
Back at your Lodge, the wooden terrace offers unrivalled sea views and provides the ultimate setting for a fabulous lunch or dinner for two. However if you prefer, there are of course many great restaurants and bars in Bournemouth. Renoufs in Southbourne offers a renowned service, superb atmosphere and quality food and wine. Share a delicious platter of artisan cheese and cured meat, accompanied with a bottle of wine to make your evening special.

Situated a hundred metres to the west of Bournemouth’s iconic Pier is the award winning Westbeach, recently called a “gem” in the 2019 Waitrose Good Food Guide, serving the freshest local seafood in a relaxed airy environment, which also boasts a sun soaked terrace and an exciting and unusual wine list. Meanwhile for a light lunch while shopping in the exquisite Victorian Arcade in the heart of town, why not try the reassuringly French Côte Brasserie.
The Bournemouth Beach Lodges are open all year, including Valentine’s Day when you can enjoy the delight of a private dining service from the amazingly creative local catering business, Molecular Magic or just hide yourselves away in your cosy, warm and chic Lodge by the sea.
